The Delicata series consists of mixed media paintings mounted on MDO board. The media are mostly acrylic paint along with some or all of these: pastel, oil pastel, colored pencil, graphite, inks, wax crayon, and paper. The surface of the painting is protected by three coats of invisible protective layers which include ultra-violet filters. Glass or plexiglass covering is not needed.

MDO board (medium density overlay panel) is a paintable surface made of plywood with a weather-resistant resin overlay bonded to the wood by heat and pressure. The overlay resists water, weather, wear and degradation.
